Review Articles in the Scottish Medical Journal

I am glad to say that over the last six months there has been an increase in the number of articles sent to the Scottish Medical Journal. I would encourage all researchers, particularly those starting off on their research career, to consider the SMJ as a good journal in which to publish. Although there are increasing numbers of research papers and case reports, I would like to see the number of review articles increase to promote ongoing medical education and to keep us all up to date with advances in all areas of medicine. I am writing to put a call out for review articles, which would be of general interest to all clinicians, but not necessarily on a general topic. If any potential author is uncertain whether a topic would be of interest, please contact me by email (guy@smj.org.uk) or by post, to discuss the subject.
